a loud gunshot was made known in the hong residence and the employees who worked back and forth through the hallways, paused in utter shock at the sudden events that transcended from the once peaceful night that ruled over them. joshua wasn’t surprised, continued to eat his well-done, chopped lamb on his plate and that made his step mother look at him curiously on what kind of childhood he lived beyond his years of lifetime.

the shriek escaping his sister’s mouth alarmed him, more so than hearing her almost murder their father with a silver bullet to the head. it would’ve been an incredible design for the old man who was never present in either of their livelihood’s. though, she would disagree more, thinking he is the favored sibling between them. joshua is indeed a star in their father’s eyes, just not the positive kind either.
his sister is too preoccupied by random businesses and expeditions far off cruor’s central area that their father kept sending her that she knew nothing of how he was being endlessly prepared by different high class nobles during his childhood. joshua had little to no memory of having a “happy childhood”, whatever the terms they used to describe it where children run around the streets and gain bruises from the rough floors they have developed in the underground.
